The CWU has formally notified Royal Mail they plan to call on their members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take national strike action on Friday 9 December, Sunday 11 December, Wednesday 14 December, Thursday 15 December 2022, Friday 23 December and
Saturday 24 December.

The Communication Workers Union has formally notified Royal Mail they plan to call on their members to take national strike action on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 November 2022. Royal Mail has confirmed strike action on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 November 2022.

Royal Mail have released a further announcement notifying customers that the strikes up until 10th November will no longer be happening:

The Communication Workers Union has announced it has withdrawn planned strike action in the next two weeks (2, 3, 4, 8, 9 and 10 November).


Previous update 27/10/2022: Royal Mail has announced new industrial action dates where strikes will be taking place through November that will cause service disruptions. 

We expect minor delays to happen on or around these dates. Please order as early as possible and using a priority service for a timely delivery.

Previous update 28/09/2022: 

Royal Mail have provided an updated list of dates that will be impacted by the Industrial Action/Strikes that are taking place; see below.

Please be aware this will have an impact on all classes of mail during and around these dates. We advise customers to order as early as possible. Royal Mail have advised customers to use Special Delivery methods for the best chance of a timely delivery.

The new dates are:

  • Friday 30 September 2022 and Saturday 1 October 2022
  • Thursday 13th October 2022
  • Thursday 20th October 2022
  • Tuesday 25th October 2022
  • Monday 28th November 2022

Note: Collections will not be happening on these dates. Any orders placed on these dates will be dispatched the following working day.

Please expect delays throughout October and November.

Previous update: 

We'd like to make all our customers aware that The Royal Mail had cancelled Industrial Action/Strikes that were planned on the 9th of September, due to the mournful passing of the Queen.

The strike has now been rescheduled and will take place on the following dates:

  • Friday 30th of September 2022
  • Saturday 1st of October

Due to these strikes Royal Mail have advised that customers should expect significant delays in Royal Mail services during and around these dates.

For the best chance of a timely delivery, Royal Mail have advised all customer to use a Special Delivery service. Please note, Royal Mail have published an update to their terms of service for Special Delivery, which can be read here under Priority Items on days of Industrial Action tab.

This has also had an effect on our collection dates, meaning all orders placed for fulfilment on the days marked above will be dispatched on the following working day, and you may experience delays with delivery times.
